Pastor Kevin Folger was born in Cleveland, Ohio in November of 1957. Pastor Folger met his wife, Denise, at Bible college. They were married in May of 1976. Denise is from Lima, Ohio, where she attended the Lima Baptist Temple.
Pastor Folger graduated from Heritage Christian School in 1975, and graduated from Baptist Bible College of Springfield, Missouri, in 1978. In 1992, he received his Doctor of Divinity from the Baptist Bible College of Canada.
Cleveland Baptist Church was started in Pastor Folgers' grandfather's house in 1958. When he was nine months old, his family attended for the first time and have been active members since. He became a staff member at CBC in May of 1978, and founded the "Young at Hearts", a senior citizen's ministry. Shortly thereafter, he began the "Couples for Christ" Sunday school class.
In 1990, he became Co-Pastor with Dr. Roy Thompson. He became the Pastor in 1995 as Dr. Thompson resigned to further his missionary outreach.
Pastor and Denise have three Children: Kevin (wife Alli), Pete (wife Sandra), Andrew (wife Chere'), and seven grandchildren: Madison, Carter, Mallory, Blake, Aubrey, Mia and Christian.
