James and Amber Pranger
James and Amber grew up on different sides of the world, but the Lord allowed their paths to cross while attending Bible college in Oklahoma City. Following their graduations, they were married in May of 2010. In June of that year, James took on a position in Diamond, Ohio, as youth pastor and associate pastor at Lake Milton Baptist Temple. They believed that the Lord would have them there for many years, but God had other plans. In spring of 2011, James knew the Lord was calling he and his wife back to the field of Russia.
After a two-week survey trip to Krasnoyarsk, Russia, the Lord led them to Cleveland Baptist Church to take on a mission’s internship for six months. Cleveland Baptist Church has been the home church and sending church for James’ family for almost twenty years. Cleveland Baptist has been a faithful supporter and encourager to the Pranger family.
James grew up on the mission field of Russia with his parents Jim and Laura Pranger, who currently still serve as missionaries to the field of Budapest, Hungary. Upon returning to Russia, James and Amber plan to assist Pastor Kevin Jones in the city of Krasnoyarsk and Pastor David Sterling in the village of Elita, and eventually plant churches further northeast in Siberia. The Lord has used Cleveland Baptist Church to both edify and equip James and Amber as they prepare for deputation. Please pray for them as they begin traveling in April of 2012.
