Dear Friends and Family,
Thanks so much for your prayers since my last prayer letter. My health is much better now, and I have been able to return to all of my responsibilities. Working in a tropical country does tend to require more of you physically, and as such, we continually endeavor to maintain good diet and exercise so that we can physically withstand the challenges to our health.
We were greatly blessed to welcome two missionary interns during the months of May and June. These two individuals were a great blessing to us and our people. We were able to arrange for many speaking opportunities for them as well as the opportunity to see different types of ministries that interest them. Our family and Kristine McLaughlin are now the only BIMI missionaries in Côte d’Ivoire, so we are thrilled at the prospect of a new generation of missionaries in the future.
The construction of our church building for the Bingerville church is moving along well. The floors are poured and the walls are going up. This church building will go hand in hand with the classroom building to allow the Bingerville church to continue its growth in becoming an autonomous Independent Baptist church.
With the construction of these buildings, we are projecting into the future concerning what the church budget will be once this construction is completed. As such, we can continue to prepare the church so that once autonomy is established, this will also include a financial autonomy that will allow this church to support itself in the years to come.
On June 28, 2012, we held a medical day in the village Anan. We were able to treat 250 people that were ill as well as preach to all 250 of them before providing the medical services. In addition, we were able to give the Gospel, one on one, to 116 of these people. 32 patients prayed to receive Christ, and 76 others asked that we return to speak with them further concerning the Gospel. It was truly a successful day in the ministry.
Again it is a privilege to represent you here in Côte d’Ivoire. Our goal is always the establishment of local independent churches through various means of evangelism. It is what we have done in establishing the Bingerville and Zanaplédougou churches, and, by God’s grace, it is what we will continue to do for many years to come.
Most sincerely in Christ,
Robert C. Mach
