The theme “Firm
In The Faith” is taken from Paul’s words to
the church at
Corinth in I Corinthians 16:13. He
said it this way, “stand fast in the
faith.” This was said to a church that was
living amidst some of the most ungodly,
carnal, and pagan people that ever lived.
First century Christians made a huge
difference in their world because they were
willing to live and die for “the faith”
rather than compromise it or water down its
message.
Looking at our
world today, it feels like we are living in
an ever increasing Corinth-like world.
Ungodliness is prolific, wickedness abounds,
and things that appeal to the carnal and
fleshly appetites are everywhere. Our
challenge today is not to die for “the
faith”, but rather to live in such a way
that the world can see that we are “firm in
the faith.” This year may we seek to be
“firm in the faith” so we can make a
difference in this world!
Our thanks go
to Tim Kardamis, Jr. for designing this
year’s logo; it so perfectly conveys the
theme “Firm In The Faith.”
